Content used to be the part of my business that ate the most time and gave the least back.

An hour to write a caption. Another hour to plan the week. More time editing than actually creating.

Right now, roughly 80% of my content creation is automated. Not outsourced to a person. Automated with AI, using a system I built once and now run every week without rethinking it from scratch.

Here is exactly how it works.

THE 20% THAT STAYS HUMAN

Before the automation, there is a 20% that has to come from me and only me.

Once a week, I spend about 15 minutes writing down real observations. What I have learned. What a customer said. What surprised me. What I noticed working or not working in my own business. Raw, unfiltered thoughts.

This is the part AI cannot replace. It does not know what happened in my week. It does not know the specific conversation I had or the mistake I caught myself making. That raw material is what keeps everything that follows from sounding generic.

Fifteen minutes. That is the only part of the week that requires me to sit and think from scratch.

THE 80% THAT AI HANDLES

Everything after that raw material gets fed into a system.

The notes go into a prompt that turns them into five to seven content ideas across different formats. Captions, carousels, email topics, hooks. What used to take me an hour of staring at a blank page now takes the AI about ninety seconds to generate a full week's worth of starting points.

From there, each idea gets expanded into a full draft. Not a final version. A strong first draft that already has the structure, the hook, and the core value laid out. My job at this stage is editing, not creating. Editing takes a fraction of the time creating does.

The drafts get run through a second pass that adjusts tone, tightens language, and removes anything that sounds like it came from AI instead of a real person. This step matters more than people think. It is the difference between content that feels automated and content that just happens to be assisted by automation.

Finally, everything gets scheduled in one batch session instead of daily. One sitting, once a week, and the entire week of content is planned, written, and queued.

WHY THIS MATTERS MORE THAN THE TIME SAVED

The obvious benefit is time. I get hours back every week that used to disappear into content creation.

But the real benefit is consistency. When content creation takes an hour of dread every single day, consistency becomes nearly impossible to maintain. When it takes fifteen minutes of thinking and one batch session per week, showing up every day stops requiring willpower.

Automation does not make your content less human. It removes the friction that was stopping you from showing up in the first place. The humanity comes from the fifteen minutes you put in at the start, not from doing every step manually.

THE PROMPT THAT STARTS YOUR OWN SYSTEM

Spend fifteen minutes writing raw notes about your week, your niche, or your business. Then run this.

You are a content strategist who specialises in turning raw, unstructured notes into a full week of polished, publish-ready content across multiple formats.

Here are my raw notes from this week: [PASTE YOUR NOTES]

My niche and audience: [DESCRIBE WHO YOU CREATE FOR]

Using these notes, generate:

  1. Five to seven content ideas that come directly from what I wrote, not generic advice

  2. For each idea, specify the best format (caption, carousel, email, short video script)

  3. Write a strong hook for each one

  4. Write the full first draft for the three strongest ideas

  5. Flag any language that sounds generic or AI-generated so I know what to personalise before publishing

Write in a direct, human tone. Short paragraphs. No filler.

Run this once a week and watch how much of the friction disappears.

The goal is not to remove yourself from your content. It is to remove the parts that were never adding value in the first place.

Reply and tell me what your current content process looks like.

I will tell you exactly where automation could save you the most time.

Less staring at blank pages. More building.
